After they reach out, maybe yous hook up or what not, let them go right back to beeing "free". You should also suggest not sleeping w the ex until commitment is made. That can put you in fwb mode, and you will lose your power. They will be able to string you along for as long as they want, making you think commitment is coming. Don't do it!

Rn I'm 7 months in, getting attention from other girls. Shes still interacting with Instagram, stories and posts. As well as trying to make me jealous with her rebound. So far so good and I'm honestly the happiest I've been in so long despite how hard my life is. Been doing no contact for maybe 2 months, I’m not to sure, but she reached out on my birthday and I kept it short then went back to no contact. 2 weeks later she saw me leaving work, she came to me and asked how I’ve been. I smiled and said I’m doing very well, she said I looked like I’ve been doing well. A day later we began to text each other and just recently had a date. After the date I held myself from contacting her, and made her make the first move on contact. I feel as if I have gained power during this no contact and I’m choosing to not abuse this power. It’s alright to take your time in this situation, there’s no rush and I feel extremely confident on the outcome rather we come together or separate. I think withholding from sex until a commitment is made is wise and helps you hold your power during this season. Side note when I use the word power I do not mean control.
