How Much Slower Are Aftermarket Tires? Top Speed Testing!

Often times consumers quickly rid their Raptors of the stock tires for a pair of XC Masters or other cross-country type of tire. But the amount of performance (acceleration & top speed) that is taken away is shocking!

So many are quick to bash stock tires and assume that buying the aggressive looking aftermarket tires are the answer to better acceleration and speed. We shall see.... Let's get to Ripp'n!!!

I run ITP hole shots on my YFZ450. 18" rear for quicker starts. Who cares bout top speed in odd rd machines 🤔. Have XC Masters 20" on my '21 Raptor 700R-SE. Love em.

Did 81mph on my monster big 3 2020 raptor with XC masters. I did 82mph with my stock tires and big 3. These XC masters bounce like hell on the road compared to other tires I've run on my yfz or LTR.

I have the same xc Masters, I love them. . Running in the South Az desert is brutal on tires and the little loss power is worth traction and puncture resistance. I never see top end anyway.

I just got my raptor switched the stick tires and rim for some Maxxis tires and it’s bone stock topped out at 76.9 not to bad for some heavy ass tires lol
