One thing about supreme/special grade 1. I think it’s actually more of a political title, categorizing grade 1 sorcerers with great political influence like the grade 1 sorcerers of the Zenin clan. I believe it was confirmed by Gege somewhere but I can’t remember where or when.

You know, I always wondered if Sorcerers were ever paid for fighting and killing cursed spirits. Because as much as keeping the public safe from the danger of curses is, the idea of being paid for putting my life on the line. Should be the bare minimum to say the least. I feel like special cursed objects such as sukuna's fingers or the Prison realm
Should be on a higher lvl than special grade sorcerers..
Their powers are beyond or in case of the prison realm have special capabilities that can imprison special special
Sorcerers like gojo..and that itself is massive feat..

I always find these ranking or grading scales to be pointless because they quickly become irrelevant compared to the prevailing threats.
It is only a temporary tool to boast the danger of a new threat early on. Afterwards, you can pretty much assume every threat is the top rank or breaks the ranking scale.

Make sense that promotion process requires a lot of recommendations....If promotion was easy and a weak sorcerer went up against a strong curse they'd be screwed....and it would be a waste of money and resources

Great video! I have been working on understanding the grading system by categorizing cursed spirits, curse users and those afflicted by curses. I.E. Jason Voorhees, kayako saeki (grudge), Michael Myers(?) As a user?, And so on. A lot of fun using the JJK world to breakdown other worlds.

So, Sukuna’s power is stored in 20 fingers which are all special grade objects that exceed the power of a special grade sorcerer’s meaning that Sukuna’s full power is more than 20 times a special grade curse spirit. Although, Gojo completely man handles single finger Sukuna yet Gojo can’t destroy the curse fingers.

This something I would change bout JJk saying special grade always seem pretty dull to me I would have named tht rank "Sage's" (sorcerer's) and keep disaster or calamities (non nature base) for curse's the other number grades u can keep except grade 1 I would rename it deviant for curse's (depends on intelligence) idk equivalent for humans

I think the "Supreme Grade 1" rank is bs and if I had to guess, it seems as if the Zenin clan is just influencing the ranking system (like with Maki) so that they seem important. Either that or the Supreme Grade 1 rank isn't supposed to reference strength. This is kinda obvious when you reallize the only supreme grade 1 shamans are coincidentally all zenin clan members, with Naobito being the strongest due to being the clan head and having a more advanced version of Naoya's technique.

Once you realize Naobito is the strongest then it gets a little iffy, since Jogo killed Naobito with a fire attack, and he used the same exact attack on Nanami and Maki. Nanami was durable enough to survive the attack and fight afterwards, and Maki made a full recovery as well so Naobito's strength is pretty questionable and he definitely isn't a whole grade above Nanami or Todo.

I enjoy how the raning system in this anime actually makes sense, and isn't just a huge convoluted exam like so many other shounen. Never made sense to me in other shows why they poor so many resources and time into ranking people lol.
