What you should really compare to is Calvin Coolidge and 1920s when trade protectionism clearly existed, government had a balanced budget, low national debt with a fastest growing economy.

We need to deregulate wallstreet more because that has worked out so well for all of us. Not all regulations are bad and some need to stay in place. When Reagan was president I was grossing $20, 000 a year and bringing home $12, 000. If you do the math that is about 40% tax rate while the richest people were getting all the tax breaks. That is were we are going to be again just wait and see.

Both are horrendous, if you look back to the 80’s anything that was government literally almost failed police/ firefighters being laid off, mental patients being led out into the streets, the 80’s were a dark age.
