honestly, i rarely see deepslate used as main building blocks in my friends builds at all, i just love the dark rocky design of it, even used it for my starter base in one of my newer survival worlds where the walls shifted from the bottom being deepslate and the top being regular stone!

a cool feature for superflat would be if u r below bedrock and make a cobble generator it would make deepslate, like if it spawns at the coords on a normal world it would be able to make deepslate

I remember back when mossy cobblestone was only obtainable in dungeons and it was one of the rarest blocks to build with. Deepslate is the super flat equivalent of that. It's kind of comparable to calcite, but at least that spawns in large amounts in mountains and geodes.

i remember being in a server that was in 1.18 but the world generation was still like. 1.16?? but there was an achievement awards plugin and the way we got deepslate was to destroy a creative made build at spawn, get more deepslate from the achievement awards, then pass the deepslate to multiple people

It'd be awesome if they added a way to generate deepslate like you can with stone. Maybe a different variant of lava like magma only found in deepslate layers.
