This is the most earned boss monster in the franchise. Yusei had to work for it for 30 episodes. He had to improve speed of his D-Wheel, get actual physical card from Z-One and let go of his fears and insecurities to summon Shooting Star.

Nothing will ever top this and Yusei as a main character. Hands down my favourite series.

I friggin' love this scene. Whereas in GX it was pretty much Darkness vs. Darkness, albeit different kinds, in 5Ds, it's the Darkness of a Future yet to come vs. the Light that exists within the Darkness to guide those who look for it, aka the Stars.

This scene is a newborn Star illuminating the Darkness that covered the sky and showing the path to a new future, a future different to the one the Big Bad of this season experienced.

I just realized these kinda scenes make me think of things like this...

We could have done it without naked Yusei in hyperspace, but this has to be one of the coolest summonings in the franchise, second only to Exodia and the Egyptian Gods.
