Today we are finally burying the Culvert bunker in my back yard! At the end of the day we should have the backyard bunker underground, with sod back on top, and the giant 12ft dimeter culvert pipe hidden completely underground!

They guys you hired to do the earthwork knew what they were doing. So often on YouTube people dig unsafe holes and backfill incorrectly. Refreshing to see people with the right equipment and skills doing the job!

The more this project continues, the more cool stuff I learn about.

I’ve worked in civil construction my entire career. I’m impressed by how well you explained what was going on.

How cool I work for the company that provided this pipe! I actually loaded your pipe on the the blue truck in your video. Very cool to see the progress on this project! Good luck with the bunker!

Good job on the compacting! I am a civil engineer and work on building water retaining dikes and we work with clay. Compacting clay is an art of its own and you did well with your soils!. Seeing the effort you spent on compacting and not dismissing it does me good! You'll enjoy the result, youve got no worries about the ground settling over the years!!! Someone gave you good advice!

Hi Jerry, I used to work in a thermal power plant earlier and we used a large number of sacrificial anodes when our underground cold water pipelines for Cooling towers were replaced. Seeing a miniature version of the same here in this video helped me recall a lot of nice memories. You are the best!

The amount of thought that goes into building a bunker is so crazy I wouldn’t have thought it was such a process keep up the good work everyone!

Right around 9:45 would have been the perfect time to install the lines for a ground source heat pump loop for your home or bunker...

Let's get those 100k likes so that we can guarantee future JerryRig content for the next ten years. The deal of a life-time, entertainment doesn't get cheaper than this!

Did you measure the height of the tube to see if it floated at all during the burying process? Or did you measure the roundness of the tube to see if it distorted?

This is going so fast!

I'm looking forward to learning how the interior is utilized.

Even though I'll never see the bunker in person, i'm super interested in watching how it comes together. Literally glued to my monitor whenever a new part of this series drops. Such a cool project, thanks for sharing it with us Jerry.

This is by far my favourite series on YouTube, I have interest in this kind of out of the box projects and through this one I've leaned a lot.

i am not a very envious person, im an audio engineer, and wife is also with disabilities. but sir, with all you are capable of, and are doing, i find my self very envious. from your wheel chair company, your regular jerryrig dismantle stuff, to the hummer, your rivian, and your bunker. just never wanted so many things another person built. congratulations, i wish prosperity to continue for you.

here's a small thought, add some concrete to the very bottom of the corrugated tube so you get a tiny flat section so that if (when) water ever does get in, it can drain to where you put the sump pump, and doesn't make little puddles in ever rib of the corrugated pipe.
