I dug an underground bunker in my backyard

We dug a 12 foot deep zombie apocalypse bunker in our back yard. Complete with a comfortable room and food stash. Now those zombies can't eat us. We dug this entire bunker by hand!!

As a almost 20 year old kid who also is making a underground bunker with my homies. This made me a smile. Its neat that kids are trying to make their own hang out places instead of hanging around the streets. The bunker that I am building on is still in the progress and so far its hella fun :)

A couple kids died of suffocation in Colorado when a dirt wall collapsed in on them. I seriously hope you filled this in, or built serious supports.

Don't forget, when it rains, water will actually trave through the ground and could fill up your hole with water and erode the walls. You've got to make it safe. I've heard of people dying in their own cave structure that they made because they didn't even have supports to keep the roof from collapsing. Be safe!

As others have said here, even though the earth is really hard, it is still dangerous to dig this deep without supports. Also don't put the loose piles of earth near the hole either. Move them away, because it's weight that if wet, could put pressure on the hole collapsing in.
