Backcountry Powder Skiing - No Music - POV - 1 Hour

By popular request here is 1 hour of backcountry powder skiing without any music, just natural sounds captured by the GoPro camera. This is the same footage, taken from the other Chillhop videos but I have had numerous requests for a ski edit without music so I decided to make one. I hope you enjoy it.

Most of the skiing was shot in Idaho, there are a few clips from Utah and one or two from Colorado. All of this was filmed lift free, meaning no lifts were used in the making of this video. 100% pure backcountry skiing.

Watching this from France. I only skied once 30 years ago for a week. Loved it but never did it again. I am now 48 but just decided I'll do it again. And I'm starting by watching your video. One of my favorite ski videos. Some wonderful powder runs with lots of slalom turns to maneuver around the brush. Also a good lesson on route finding. I use it for mental prep for the season. I identified with that spill you took at around the 41 minute mark. Sometimes I can hit a pile of snow too "fat" and it snaps shut on me like a trap.

I would love to visit your mountains some time. Im from Switzerland and even though our mountains are amazing to ski in, its just all so damn steep. Wich means if we have good powder days its rarely safe enough to go out. Your mountains seem to be made for powder skiing.
