Still one of my all time favorite Sci-Fi movies. I was just a kid when I saw this movie. Totally blew me away! Never forgot that phrase!

The very first time I saw Army of Darkness in the theater I busted out laughing when the wise man told Ash the sacred words. No one else got it.

"Klaatu barada nikto" is a phrase originating in the 1951 science fiction film The Day the Earth Stood Still. The humanoid alien protagonist of the film, Klaatu (Michael Rennie), commanded Helen Benson (Patricia Neal) that, were anything to happen to him she must say the phrase to the robot Gort (Lockard Martin). In response Gort relented from destroying the Earth and resurrected Klaatu from death.

Loved your vid. Well done. 👍👍 I've loved SciFi since I came out of the womb. The Day the Earth Stood Still is one of all-time favorites. The first scary movie I saw was War of The Worlds. It especially reached home because of Orson Wells narrating the invasion of Martians in Grove Mills, NJ and I lived in NJ. It was done as Halloween prank by Orson Wells, but if you turned into his radio broadcast late, you didn't know it was a prank. A virtual hysteria broke out and it was lucky that Wells was not fired. But the next day he apologized profusely and went on to stardom.

the robot, Gort, is the captain of the starship, and Klaatu, the humanoid,
is a subordinate.

everytime I build a server and it comes up after imaging, I get the "setting up devices" and below that is the line with the light moving back and forth...GORT! Klaatu Barada Nikto....and not one of those servers has hurt me yet! YET!
