If the main guest speaker was on zoom, the in room people would be able to hear the presenter but would not be able to ask questions unless there is bluetooth microphone running through the single laptop or walking up to the lapel microphone. If the in room people are on zoom and audio muted why would you need the projection screen unless WiFi is inadequate or not available.
It is a good explanation of how to avoid audio feedback loop problems . Thanks

My Rotary club is also trying to do this. We also usually have a host and a guest who wants to show slides or a video on a second laptop. This gets a bit more complicated so it would be nice to see how you do this.

I love the level of detail you got into. Hybrid meetings are tough to get setup to make sure the power balance in the meeting is even between those online and those in the room. Any tips on getting the people in the room the ability to get their voices heard well by those on zoom using a portable setup?

what I dont' understand is how the camera is connected and could you use your phone to connect it. Could you also have the laptop aimed at a table of people so they could see and be seem by the zoomers. just at more of a distance than if they were sitting directly in front of the computer? I think this could work if the meeting just had one "small" table of people it was just a talking meeting-- no presentation docs or the like... eh?

Our problem is allowing the ZOOM people to hear the in-person people ask questions of our speaker. They won't wait for me to unmute our second computer and pass around a microphone. Any suggestions?

hey John, i have a question, you stated all phone or computer needs to be mutes besides the one you are doing your presentation on. When you went into the hall way the main computer was not muted, however, you also did not get a feed back loop. Is it ok to not mute the main computer while someone from home is talking?

Hi John, excellent presentation. My group doesn't have a lot of money. I assume this would work with a tablet too? For the people in the room, would they have to physically hold the tablet so they would be shown on Zoom or would the cellphone on tripod do that? Could you add a bluetooth handheld microphone instead of the lavalier?
