Hey guys just a few notes here. Many of the Diablo partners are my friends and people that I have only love, respect, and gratitude for their existence. I was not trying to say they are fake. I meant that I have a lot of controversial takes and because of them, my morals and outspoken opinions I don’t even want to partner with Blizzard. I apologize I came across that way towards them. They will always have my blessing. I love all of them very much and I try to send donations and express my love for them as much as I can when I am on social media. I also was not trying to speak for everyone. I recorded this video in 15 minutes and tried to just upload a quick video. Later on I noticed I was speaking too much in a way of acting like I was representing everyone and I apologize for that. I value all feedback and I appreciate even the negative comments so I can improve myself and the content I make and better the universe of Diablo we all love. Diablo is my love, my passion, and I have only gratitude for every opinion and all of you. I’m sure Diablo 4 is going to be an amazing game and even though some of that spark from Diablo 2 is missing it’s a new game and we should all be grateful after all these years we have a new game. It's funny how all the fanboys are coping with the dislikes. Diablo 4 is a battle pass pay to win dumpster fire. So glad it lost most of its player base already. Diablo 2 will always be the best in the series then original.

D2 back in the day was absolutely legendary, it was the last game I played where I was obsessed with it. Nothing has even felt the same since and I tried hard to get into other games.

Diablo 2 is also a repetitive gameplay style, especially if you’re running the same games and doing meph, Baal, etc runs over and over. I appreciate that Diablo 4, like 3, allows for individualized loot instead of the clickfest of everyone breathing on the boss kill at the last moment.

What game of Diablo 2 did you play? How is it a different experience each time? If I start 20 barbarians and get them all to bloodraven, do you think I'm gonna end up with 20 different stories to tell? The world has 2 different versions. Either the world faces left or it faces right. If you have played as much as you claim, then you know this. Yeah the rooms are arranged differently, but if you've done a dungeon once, you already know how to beat it. It's not like there are random puzzles. It has infinite replay ability because you may really want an axe but keep getting legendary swords so you give up and go sword. That's the kinda choices you are forced into due to bad rng. Most of Diablo 2 was spent killing one boss over and over to try and get some loot. That's the core game play. That's the same core game play as d3 and d4. By the way maybe don't quote people who believe they cured a broken spine with the power of meditation and people will take it seriously.

I'm a D2 player and think D4 is much more fun. The end-game game play is significantly more challenging, fast paced and interesting regarding build theorizing.

Been playing D2 for 20 years now an I'm still excited for D4. Maybe it's just a new shiny toy but I'm couting down the days till I run just one more dungeon before work.

I played D2 for SO MANY hours. I bought it day 1, played the hell out of it, bought LOD day 1, played the hell out of it and it's great. Hell even up to last year, I was going back between lulls in my other games...but you are categorically wrong on your repetitive use of "RNG" and the use of the word "repetitive".

Here is how both stack up:

D2:
1. Find a build that can MF early into late (usually sorc due to tele)
2. Run a build off of Maxroll that mins/maxes.
3. Run the same areas over and over (the definition of repetitive) that your build excels in.
4. That means TYPICALLY running areas that tend to have the highest % drop chance of high runes. (i.e. Cows, Countess, Pit etc)
5. Build your weapon or armor runeword and feed other classes
6. EVERYTHING is RNG


D4:
1. Find a character that might be able to kill quick (might be sorc with Tele, but could be a quick rogue)
2. run some dungeons and world bosses
3. Grind for essences
4. Grind for rares with the perfect affixes
5. EVERYTHING is RNG

We get it, you like D2, but there is no denying that D2 is repetitive and mind-numbingly boring. At least fights in D4 will have mechanics that require some thought.

The idea that devs at blizzard (or any game studio for that matter) aren't passionate about the games they spend half a decade of their lives making is some of the most asinine shit that entitled gamers with zero knowledge about the reality of the games industry will say. The love and care people have for the projects they devote years to is what enables them to get up in the morning and head into a work environment where sexual harassment is shrugged off and crunch is the norm, not the "clout of working at blizzard" like you say.

im in the process of trying D4 out, but so far I have not found the same excitement from finding good loot as I find in D2.

I find item affixes in general to be underwhelming, unimpressive, unlike D2 uniques (even early stepping stone ones, or hell, magic/rare)
