2015 MacBook Air 11 in 2023??

In this video we are looking at a 11.6-inch Apple MacBook Air model from 2015 or model identifier MacBook Air 7,1.

It is the last MacBook Air from this generation with this design before 3rd gen Retina. And in the next gen Apple didn't have a 11-inch Air, just a 13.3 one.

The specs of our little hero here are Intel Core i5-5250U CPU with Intel HD Graphics 6000, 4GB RAM and 512 GB SSD. The software is Monterey.

The CPU is with two cores and four threads. It is using Broadwell microarchitecture which is the 14 nanometer die shrink of Intel's previous Haswell microarchitecture. The base frequency is 1.6 GHz with boost to 2.7. The integrated GPU is HD 6000, which is... just an integrated graphics.

I must admit, I like this form factor....had an older one back in 2012 or bought this a a secondary computer, 2015 11" MBA. Love the keyboard, more so than my daily driver (2019 MBP - which is an outstanding computer). This one just looks so sharp and you do not see it out there all that often. so yes, this PC still holds up today...a testament to the build quality of Apple.

I love my 11 inch ipad, Im a college teacher and the mac's small weight, size and long lasting battery is perfect for carrying around.

I've got one of these. i7 2.2Ghz, 8GB ram and now a 2TB SSD. I use it everyday as it means I can do my job wherever I am. I won't be changing it until I'm absolutely forced.

I have a 2015 macbook air with a pretty sad dual core i5. Since Apple no longer supports this, I just put Windows 10 on it to use it for web browsing and a security camera server. It actually feels pretty 'snappy'. I will say will be our last Mac computer since Apple claims to be a 'green' company but discontinues support after 5-7 years to force consumers to buy the latest and greatest. I am aware there are 'workarounds' to put the latest Mac OS on it and from what I've seen, older Intel based Macs run JUST FINE with it. There is no other reason for Apple not supporting this hardware, other than greed.
