Thanks for this video. I had to do this myself on a 2007 Mazda CX9. The heads up on all the bolts and connections on the backside were very helpful. Wish it was as easy a job as it appeared in your video. Took me about 5 hours total with lots of cussing, cramping and almost a divorce. What a bastard of a job! Would suggest you replace Spark plugs and the ignition coils while you are in there. You will never want to do this again so best to do this while you can.

Thanks for the vid guys. We have a 2007 Lincoln MKX for my wife, let me tell u, if it wasn't for you guys, I would have thrown a match down the gas tank long ago! I hate this car, but it's cheaper to repair it than having another car payment.

Do you guys know why your Bank #1 (rear) valve cover is darker than the front? Mine is exactly the same at 120, 000 mi.

No need to remove throttle body if just going for valve cover gasket...

How much oil pressure should you have at idle?

TORQUE 89 in/lbs, or 10 NM. sorry for the spoiler, I could not find it on your youtube page or by simple googling. Also, the spark plug seal is a PAIN, without the proper $188 tool that is. I was able to hammer it in with soap water and an 1-1/4" socket (deciding the others were not in bad enough shape to bother with.) Also went ahead and replaced the PCV valve while that part was opened up

Why don't you guys ever show reinstalling

I have a bracket holding down the rear valve cover holding up the AC line by the firewall. I can't remove it. I tried 8mm socket and it's too big. 7mm is too small. Gonna try standard long sockets.

Are those aluminum valve covers? All the ones I have seen are polymer

Changed spark plugs and both valve cover gaskets started gushing oil. Anyone else experience this? 2010 ford flex 3.5

Really didn't need to take off the throttle body. Just disconnect the hoses and clip. Use an extention and a swivel to get to the bracket underneath. 🤷‍♂️
