Never quite understood how carp and catty anglers can turn up to these big waters, cast into featureless, open water and still get excited. I get that they DO catch fish...but nothing instils more confidence in me than some nice overhanging willows, lillies or reeds to fish to...

I use live carp as bait for Wels! Try it and mabey you will catch one that will make you realize your carpmaterial isn’t going do it! My friends carpgear isn’t the same as catfishgear! Keep that in mind.

Haha we used to catch them just on a running ledger down to a trace with a circle hook and a dead bait it doesn't always have to be complicated rigs like these.

not being funny but I catfish all the time and I would never fish with 3.5lb t/c carp rods, unless your going for little fish, why I said that is I did use to use 3.5 t/c for cats and I hooked a big one and it just was not powerful enough if I had 5lb t/c it would of helped a lot, and using carp hooks is a NO NO for any catfish fishing, please use the correct hooks you WILL lose the fish of a life time, I am just saying.Tight lines

catfish bait are worms and liver and fish not tons of garbage you throw in lakes like carpists
think about that not about my dumb comment
