2 Drives: Dual Booting Windows 10 and Arch Linux on UEFI

In this video I am building Arch Linux with LibreOffice, Firefox, fonts, YAY and Timeshift dual booting with Windows 10 on a UEFI system, but this time from 2 separate disks. It is important to to install GRUB in the correct partition of the first disk here to have GRUB showing up at boot. We are going also to make sure that Linux directories will be accessible from Windows! Enjoy!

Your video is very easy and helpful, but watching some other guys i3 gaps tutorial with xfce, i make by system almost broke.. Then i had to reinstall arch linux 😭
Anyway you should include separate home partition, swap file and swap partition options to make the videos more complete. Take love from the country Bangladesh. ❤️

Why not create the swapfile before chroot? So that genfstab applies the swapfile entry for you? Is there a reason it is better to create it while chroot in /mnt? Thanks for the tutorial. 😊

great video thanks, using the 100M allocated Microsoft bootloader partition for GRUB and as the /boot partition has caused me some trouble however. 1 week after the install, and with my first system upgrade - the 100M was not sufficient

Can you install two EFI partitions on their respective physical hard drive so they are completely independent from each other, and you press F12 key on boot to choose which hard drive to boot in? I feel it's cleaner and I don't want each physical hard drive to have any knowledge about the other.

Why are you mounting windows root partition (sda4) also? Why is it needed? This make no sense to me. Can you explain it? Thanks a lot, and I appreciate your work in this video.

May I suggest that you ask people to check if their nvidia-graphics card is included in the "standard" nvidia.

I have to use nvidia-390xx-lts nvidia-390xxutils nvidia-390xx-settings, which now are in AUR, so you have to use yay to get them

When creating the swap file (after swapon /swapfile) I get the error “swapon /swapfile: swapon failed: invalid argument” any help?
