The titular "Alienator" is a Californian body builder named Teagan Clive. Apparently she came from a tough background of being abandoned by her parents, but she overcame that and took up weight lifting (as well as writing about techniques) as a livelihood. In the tradition of bodybuilders like Arnold Schwarzenegger getting into acting, she also appeared in a number of movies besides "Alienator, " including bit parts in the John Candy movie "Armed and Dangerous" and as a Russian athlete in the Whoopi Goldberg movie "Jumping Jack Flash." She wasn't very prolific, probably because acting was just a side thing to her passion for pumping iron, but she seems like a swell lady. It's a shame we never got to see her collaborate with Cynthia Rothrock.

I actually saw bits and pieces of "Alienator" on the sci-fi channel when I was 7-8 years old (so like, '91-'92) while at my Grandma's house. My Uncle walked into the living room, saw the woman with the white hair, started laughing hysterically and called my Aunt into the room to see it. Good times.

About Jan Michael Vincent... the female lead from AirWolf was married to a prof I had in college. She would come to class some of the time and I was a big fan of the show and was thrilled to get to know her. She regaled me with all sorts of tales about how hammered that guy was all the time and how hard it was to get him to remember lines and marks and stay awake.

There's something heartwarming and absolutely hilarious about Jack's over-the-top, sarcastic laugh in the beginning, that slowly and steady evolves into a genuine laughter and ends with him losing his shit. I fucking love it.

The model shots from the beginning of Alienator are lifted from a 1973 Doctor Who episode called Frontier in Space. In the original show, it was a prison on the Moon.
