I test drove a rav4 hybrid and chose the 2022 nx 350h and the interior, infotainment system and quiet ride overall is well worth it and glad I have it. The NX also has a more powerful electric motor hence 239h

Toyota RAV4 is a great car but Lexus NX is a level above Toyota. Buy Lexus if your bank account allows.

Drove both of these. Bought the Lexus. Lexus dealer experience and service is worth paying more.

I thought the seats in the Rav4 were horrible and noise on the highway was horrendous. Definitely look around if seat comfort and quietness is a priority. Camry is much nicer for less money!

I live in Canada. Wait list for a RAV4 Hybrid is 2 years and used ones are selling $5-7k over MSRP, if you can find one. Wait list for an NX 350h was 10 months. So I ordered the Lexus.

I live in california, rev4 hybrid has incredible markup around 5-10k, while nx 350h has no markup. Probably will go for nx 350h if the otd prices are similar

Both vehicles are quality built. My son owns a Rav4 and a Tacoma. I never owned a Toyota product and did a lot of research on the web. I decided to go with the NX 350H and it's clearly a far more luxurious design. The Rav4 has the infotainment center sticking out of the dash which is old school. On the Lexus, I went with the 14 inch screen - built into the dash - and the heads-up display. The power is smooth, and there are a lot of other features too numerous to mention. I didn't price the Rav4, but the NX350H I bought was $50, 600.

Suggestion.. when you are doing a sound test on the door closing or motor, try to give us enough silence so we can hear the sound.

I've seen so many Rav4 owners claim the ride is uncomfortable and noisy. But not true with the 2023 Rav4 XSE Hybrid, which I picked up a few weeks ago. It's surprisingly comfortable, quiet, and the 10.5" infotainment screen is miles better than previous year's hideous 8" or lesser screen size (A real reason why I didn't buy it sooner). Only downside to the NX350h is it has a mediocre JBL sound system, not Mark Levinson. Few biggest reasons for choosing Rav4 are it has spare tire(A must for me as I enjoy long road trips. Can't take my chances with 50mile range run flats out in nowhere), more aftermarket accessories(I enjoy modding), cheaper to maintain than Lexus(I know this because I switched from Lexus IS350). Uses same Toyota parts and work but Lexus magically charges almost double. For that reason, they can give you a loaner car and snacks for free(with your money). Lol. Anyhow, beyond satisfied with 36 to 55mpg (Yes, hit 55 three times without pissing off other drivers. =b
Buy whichever you want if you can afford either, or change cars every few years. Buy Rav4 if you are like me who keeps the same cars for more than 10+ years. Btw, I still own 300K+ mile old Tacoma DC Sport 4x4, which I bought it brand new back in 2007 for $26K before taxes and fees.

Never care about the high way noise. Definitely choose RAV4. But I admit NX is more premium driving experience as thicker sound isolation layer equipped and stylish outlooking .

Personally, I like the suspension on the Lexus for city driving. The Rav 4 has more suspension travel and you can really tell in the body roll on the corners which I do t like. If your planing any real off-roading, I’d definitely get the Rav but for me, the Lexus suites me better for the occasional dirt road to trailheads.

Very informative video. Better than some of the ones with 50000 subscribers.

Terrible busy CVT noise at starting and acceleration! Better, much better insulation (floor+door+underhood+and firewall) should help. Why don’t they DO it? Same goes for the Forester!

The Lexus has run flats which is why you feel more of the bumps and your have more tire noise vs the Rav4.

I give you the smooth part comparison is truth the NX 350 you can feel every bump is definitely disappointing.

In Croatia EU, U even cant have Rav4 with this infotainment, specially in PRIME. But Lexus is also more premium

Yes, it’s worth it (if it’s a Luxury or F-Sport S/Handling variant).

Its the run flat tires. If you change lexus to regular tires it fixes that issue

Their both beautiful SUV’s. I would prefer the RAV4 instead of the NX for myself. It looks more rugged and the ride feels smoother like you mentioned.

My biggest question is handling. Was there a difference in the feeling when making turns between these 2 cars? I dislike cars that refuse to want to make a turn and only want to move straight haha
