Qatar Airways Orders 50 Boeing 737 MAX

On day four of the Farnborough Airshow, Boeing managed to secure an order for 50 737 MAX aircraft from Qatar Airways. The Middle East airline placed a firm order for 25 of the largest variant, the 737 MAX 10, with options for a further 25 of the type. The Boeing 777X Freighter would be a good addition to Qatar Airways Cargo considering they already operate the regular 777 freighter. As for the Boeing 737-10, it just feels like they want to scare Airbus into negotiation with Qatar Airways.

It's funny how far Airbus has taken this considering Qatar launched the A350 for Airbus in the first place. They were the first airline to operate the type worldwide.

It’s important for Airbus that the future development of a 737 replacement is delayed. Airbus needs the max10 to succeed, as they know they’ll still dominate market share in this segment.

This is a real get for Boeing, whilst the troubles between Airbus, and Qatar Airways can't seem to be solved yet. Besides, the 737-MAX would have a better presence with Qatar Airways anyway.

The Max 10 is not expected to fly soon. Another Boeing which has certification's problems.
