2023 John Deere X738 Garden Tractor

A quick overview of my new 2023 John Deere X738. 60” HC deck in the new John Deere green color and a 54” Quick Hitch Blade.

I love my X738 for mowing and snow removal. 54inch blade and blower. I have the Deere rubber edge on my blade and yes it works like a squeegee. After 6 seasons I need to rotate it to a fresh edge. I could have gotten a 1025R for a little less but I did not want to keep 2 fuels around.

Nice clear video. Long time 445 Owner considering a newer machine and the 738 seems to hit all the buttons. Considered the 5 series but want to stay with the shaft drive that has served so well for 25 years, and still going strong. Also like the drive over deck as I get older and prepare to retire. Thanks for the info - might join the 738 club.

Why did you change from a 54” to 60” deck? having had both, which do you prefer?

For what you paid for your x7, I would have bought the 1023.
The they are exactly the same size, but the 1023 is more robust.

nearly bought a x750 last winter until I realized a 1025r was actually cheaper.
