Remember: You don't need a $1000 computer to have a computer to run smoothly. Also, while Intel's Core Ultra 2 is good, there are plenty of other good processor choices.

Old computers are slow usually due to using an hdd since they become slower over time. If you have the know how or are willing to spend a few bucks then its good to know that most pcs and laptops have an empty pcie slot, where you can install a good ssd

What you should actually do: change to an nvme from an hdd (storage) if possible and factory reset to delete all the garbage on it
