I've loved horses for all life. When I first watched this I knew it wasn't real, and I was impressed about how great this horse was trained for the scene. Yet, they managed to make me find a horse creepy and disturbing. My congratulations to the film's makers for this 👏🏽👏🏽

This has haunted me since I was a child and it’s just as disturbing as I remember.

My parents took me to see this movie when I was a kid when it first came out. All they told me was “whatever you see in this movie is not real”. I had no idea what it was about, I was just told the title “the brothers Grimm”. The only “Grim” I knew was Grim Reaper from the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. So I thought “Grim has a brother? That’s awesome!” Then I watched the movie and was absolutely horrified, scene after scene. When the movie was over, the only thing I could think was “WHERE THE FUCK WERE BILLY AND MANDY!!!” (I didn’t actually say it, but I thought it.) I’m over it now, but I’ll never ever forget that feeling.

Fun fact. When I was much younger I was on a trip to Florida with my parents and sibling. “Let’s go to the cinema this eve” said my Dad, “Terry Gilliam’s got a new flick out!”. Being so young and unfamiliar with the director’s work, I was intrigued. We arrived very very late to the film for reasons that are not well remembered. When we got into the theatre, this was the first scene I saw. To say that for a kid this was nightmare fuel was the understatement of the century. Returning back to it now as I have for the first time since August 2005, I can confirm that once again, I have soiled myself.

The web spew child-eating horse, a dead baby, a kitten being murdered (😭😭😭😭😭), and a kid turning into a creepy self cannibalize gingerbread cookie.

Oh my goodness my grandmother had this on the tv when i was a kid. I thought it was just a dream I had at the time but its actually real. Freaky as hell.
