My grandmother told me a dramatized version of this when I was very young. I shared it as I remembered it when one of my daughters raised a hand to their mom. I drew stick figure on a note pad for the various scenes and turned the page as the story went along. It made a huge impact on my daughters. They never lifted a hand against either my wife nor me after that. Better still, they remembered the story when they each had children and asked me to reproduce it. I did so and used images available from the web to illustrate the scenes. Some may not recognize the value of setting a standard of conduct for children. For me and mine, this cautionary tale was meant to be shared with young children and set them on a better path. Thanks for sharing this Frank Padour.
