The UN says it is concerned about a cholera outbreak in Syria possibly linked to the Euphrates River.
The World Health Organization has reported 39 deaths in the past three weeks.
Millions of people rely on the river for drinking water and to irrigate crops.
But as water levels drop in drought-like conditions, it’s leading to a buildup of sewage and pollution.

Al Jazeera’s Laura Burdon-Manley reports.
