Experts say that humanity is in the middle of a sixth wave of extinction. This time, human-caused extinction.
The United Nations warns that people need to make transformative changes to stop the harmful trends.

Therefore they should stop developing but obviously don't want to.
The developed world will offer paltry, ineffective incentives but the bottom line
is that populations are growing and everyone wants a middle-class lifestyle.
