Solomon Kane Animation Test

Hey! Been a while but I think I'd like to show off something every now and again on my birthday when I can! It's a bit of a proof of concept or animation test for a pulp novel series called Solomon Kane. Man is it fun! Anyway, I'm clearly influenced by Gendy Tartakovsky's Primal and the Solomon Kane comics for sure.

The yell at the beginning was provided by the very kind Keith Dale! Check out his stuff!

All the effects and sound and music was taken from... Primal too. I know, the obsession is a problem but man do I love that series. I'd give the old pulps a look too!

Fun fact: The main characters, Spear and Fang, were also the main characters for Robert E Howard's first story published by Weird Tales, also called Spear and Fang. REH, for those who don't know, also went on to write characters like Kull, Conan, and also Solomon Kane

I would love an animated Solomon Kane show. I guess that one episode in Primal will be the closest we get.

Just wondering if you thought about adding to the scene this is taken from the short story? We’re he starts with his flint lock rifle and pistol then goes to sword and finally using the rifle like a bludgeoning weapon and him being drenched in these pre historic winged creatures.

This is probably my favorite of the short stories. He loses his faith briefly but by the end regains it even stronger then before.

Pretty good animation. But I do not know if screaming before jump to battle is the normal behavior of Solomon.
