The C40's regenerative braking is not adjustable, but the so-called "one-pedal driving" can be turned off. In a test drive I found the one-pedal driving very similar to that of the BMW i3 I've owned for the last five years, and I regard BMW's implementation (which cannot be turned off) as perfect.
