An investigation by the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office found that a chain of mental health centers routinely submitted MassHealth claims for services provided by unlicensed or unqualified staff. Now, the private equity firm and two former top executives that ran South Bay Mental Health must pay a total of $25 million in the largest MassHealth fraud settlement in state history. I am inspired by this bc I am going through the same thing with a “ non profit” that helps those with mental disabilities and I tried to bring up the billing practices and the training we received for the first time in the organization. This has happened before in the organization and still continues
