Walt Disney’s Granddaughter ‘Livid’ At What Disneyland Employees Are Paid

Walt Disney’s granddaughter Abigail Disney is not happy about the wages being paid to employees at “The Happiest Place on Earth.”

I work at Disneyland. That pay increase rolling in 2019 for my department was a $2.40 more LOL. They cut our hours bad because they thought star wars land was gonna cause mayhem and increase their money. A lot of cast members are part time. You only get full time based on your seniority or depending if your departments allowing full time submissions. So a lot of us hoping for full time are just trying to get by with what part time pays us. Holiday season they hire people like crazy, and after the seasons over, they don’t let you go. They keep you and have you working one day or two A WEEK after Christmas is over and ITLL HARDLY PICK UP during summer.

That is an AVERAGE pay amount for everybody in the park. that does not mean the lowest paid employees are making $19.00 an hour.
this could be taken up with Anaheim city council. increasing the minimum pay for employees in the entertainment venues. Disney has been known in the past to exploit workers with low pay. looks like 2 bedroom apartments in the anaheim area start at around $1, 600 a month.

Disneyland should just provide housing for all employees. Buy/build a huge apartment complex in Anaheim, and subsidize the rent pursuant to employee salary. (Your welcome, Disney!)

People at Disney get paid a lot more than your average job considering the education level they're at. It's like she just wants to complain about nothing like she's jealous or something that she was a loser Disney family member.
