Hey you two, you're amazing!!! Thanks for the shout out, we're so happy to have you two as part of our little ZW Fam :) Your clear explanations on cost and quality was brilliant. You are so correct that if you want to support local and organic, you are also supporting fair Canadian wages that supports someone living within your own neighbourhood. Much love !!!

If Leah likes making bread you should try making your own tortillas. They are AMAZING fresh and then they don't come in plastic. It's obviously more work and time so it's not exactly an everyday solution but every bit helps.

Am fairly new to your channel, but totally support your principles, and am especially impressed with your low- key, no finger wagging approach to engaging your audience. By the way, your new apartment is beautiful!

I’d love you you two to have a collab episode with a spoonie (someone with a disability or illness that seriously limits how much they can do in a day) - we love the idea of going to several shops but have to call it a day after just one. A collab with people like us who have to spend our energy in a highly measured way on making the most with zero waste shopping would be amazing.

What makes me extra sad about the pandemic is that a lot of people, including supermarket managers, it seems, have put zero waste on the back-back burner (I know that there is not such a thing as a back-back burner), but thanks for mentioning that so many problems are, indeed, systemic. Still love your vids a lot! xx Greetings from Germany. Tania.

Perhaps not (always) the cheapest option, but on top of quality you also get to choose exactly how much product you're buying which helps cut down on food waste (at least in our two-person household!)

I agree, shopping zero waste is currently a little bit more bothersome, but so satisfactory knowing that you’re doing the right thing for the planet, for the people, and for yourself

Can you guys make a follow up video of how you use these groceries and make zero waste meals?

Yesterday, I picked up a pound of strawberries from Save On that was in a cardboard container... heading in the right direction! Glad to hear the bulk barn is accepting containers again.

As always a good primer/explainer for those new to zero waste. Changing the ethos of grocery shopping is gonna take a while.

First time watching your videos. I’m hooked. 🎉Favorite line…”And we can’t be told what to do because we are adults.”🙌😆. Thank you for showing your plastic containers. I’m new to the zero waste movement and lots of people on YouTube are all about the pretty jars, reusing does not need to look pretty. And why put the plastic in the trash to look pretty. Doing yoga is more important than your “normal” video look. You are beautiful any way you are.🥰 And I just helped plant trees! So Amazing!🙌🤗💖thank you🌿

Love this video Levi! Maybe you could do one in the future about a budget zero waste grocery haul!

It is more expensive to shop zero waste, but honestly my family has begun to spend LESS than we did before at big groceries. We all around buy less things we don't need and waste a lot less food because of it. We used to buy as much as we could get because of a sale or good deal and then that food would rot because we can't feasibly eat 24 oranges before they go bad. "No Kyle we cannot buy $5 bags of chips are you crazy? Eat an orange.."
