Love the focus on not being perfect. It's hard when all the youtubers I watch and follow are close to bulk stores and health food stores where I live (the middle of nowhere, NJ), the closest health store or bulk store is about an hour away. And those are health/bulk stores with MINIMAL options. Always do the best YOU can to minimize your impact. love this idea!

Can you make a video about the different grades of recycling

So the chia bag, I have a confession to make. I once used one of those on the front of a handmade card. Lol. I used the whole front of the bag minus the white part that has the brand name and contents info on it. It sounds ridiculous, but it was too pretty to throw the whole thing out.

The chia packaging can be sent to Terracycle!!! And all the mixed packages with metal inside can be sent to Terracycle too

I'm so confused by "plastic no 1" and "plastic no 4". Where I'm from there's just plastic, sometimes they divide it into soft and hard plastics, put most of the time everything goes inte the same bin. Also where I'm from tetrapaks are really easy to recycle and they are often made out of recycled materials too.

Dumb question here, but what do you mean when you say you take your bags to the top of the store? Do you mean like when people take their plastic bags back to recycle them, or am I misunderstanding something? :O

I love how you broke down what can be composted or recycled or what's complete trash. If you have resources about how to educate the general public about what plastics can be recycled please post! (If you have already, I'm sorry, I'm new to your channel)

If you don't have one already, could you make a video explaining the different types of plastic?

I love that ice cream! Also I really love this series idea, as I don't live in a very zero waste friendly town.

Just to inform you, So Delicious is actually made in a facility that also processes dairy. My friend worked there, and she told me they don't acknowledge that it's processed with dairy products. Sketchy stuff if you ask me.

How can you tell the difference betweeen the plastics?

It's crazy to see how different recycling is dependibg on the country. A lot of stuff you bought in plastic are recyclable in your country but would end up in the trash in France. Like all the thin plastics like the bread bag for example, aren't recycable in France. Or at least not in my area. 😕

Great that it “can” be recycled, but most locations end up putting way more recycled products in the regular garbage, than you would believe, so still avoiding all packaged items is still preferable, but I get that it was a challenge.

I love the idea of doing a zero waste challenge, I'm excited to see everyone else's videos. Just curious how much was the bill at Target?
