Often what God has placed in us (sensitivity, strenth, curiosity, compassion etc), the Enemy seeks to twist, pervert, corrupt. A sensitive Spirit can be a gift but must be tempered with the stabilizing Word of God as prescribed. It's interesting though, he gave him instruction but also ministering prayer and "laying on of hands." John 1:12 tells us Jesus is the Fullness of Grace and Truth. John 4:23, 24 tells us that true worshippers must worship God in spirit and in truth. We need the Bible, we need the Holy Spirit. It's been said a walk with all prayer and no Bible is overly emotional. A walk with all Bible and no prayer is dead. Both vital to a healthy walk and I would add obedience, follow through. Prayerfully read the Bible, the Word of God and obediently surrender to what Holy Spirit reveals to you, not overly dependent on your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledging Jesus as Lord, a lifestyle of faith, continuing to walk by faith and not mere sight(Proverbs 3:5, 6; Romans 1:17;10:1-16; 2 Corinthians 5:7).
