Tensions between The Philippines and China have resurfaced in the past few weeks with China announcing it will push for a code of conduct in the disputed waters of the South China Sea.
The Philippine Coast Guard says it is stepping up patrols in the area, where Chinese vessels continue to linger.
Joint patrols with the US and Australia are also in the works.

Al Jazeera’s Barnaby Lo reports from Manila.

Philippines knows well, Chinese will take whatever is not theirs, unless you stop them... Chinese will continue fishing in other countries waters unless they are stopped

The BRP Sierra Madre is a decommisioned Phil navy ship that was intentionally beached on the shoal to served as an outpost for the Phil Marines, the Philippines wants to repair it to improve the living condition of the men onboard, but the Chinese are preventing the Philippines larger boats to get near it to bring construction supplies.

To resolve dispute, measure distances from island to your main land, who ever closest one is the severance owner.

The support of allies of the Philippines is soo worrysome.. they keep on saying thier concerne in West Philippine Sea.. the right of passage but accepting the harassment of the chinese in the middle of the ocean and not 200 nautical mile from mainland according to international law.. funny that even the strongest military in the world can't do anything..I think Philippines should lead thier own fate in this dispute ally can't help anyway they're too far from here

Me if i had the loudspeaker on that Philippine ship.... " Talkin' 'bout the car wash, Car wash, girl; Come on, y'all, let's sing it with me:
Car wash..."
Sing it with feelin', y'all
(Car wash, girl)

If relations get really bad, I won't want to be the guys on the rusty wreck. A couple of rounds from 130mm deck gun would pretty much obliterate the rust bucket.
