How to test the Resistance of your Guitar Pickups with a Multimeter... it is pretty easy to do!

Testing your pickups with a multimeter is a good way to see if they are working properly and it will tell you the resistance in OHMS. This reading does not directly correlate to the output of the pickup - the number of windings, type of magnet, construction, etc. - all contribute to the overall output of the pickup. You can also use the multi-meter to test for continuity and ground issues. Enjoy the video!
(Do you remember the Borg? Star Trek Next Generation: "Resistance is Futile"... I don't think they were talking about guitar pickups!)

Isn’t that only valid with a passive pickup setup?

All I have is 200kohms setting. It’s reading 103.5 on the bridge pickup. Any suggestions. First time checking this stuff?
