1. I've changed the title to be more clear
2. Diet and Zero is almost the same : They use both sweeteners which are very similar to each other instead of using sugar, the real reason to create two 'sugarless' drinks is marketing and not because they wanted to create two sugarless soft drinks

Diet Coke has its own flavor while Coke Zero tastes more like regular Coke.

Diet coke is a different recipe from regular coke. Coke zero is regular coke without sugar or calories.

When I was cutting sugar out of my diet (caffeine followed soon after) I used coke zero as my middle man and it was so much better than diet.

I think they both have aspartame and that’s no good for me. I wish they would just keep the regular formula and cut the sugar content from 39 grams in a 12oz. can to something like 15 grams, maybe lower. I’d rather consume a little sugar than drink anything with gross artificial sweeteners. I’m more of a seltzer water drinker anyway.

The difference for me is for some reason something in diet cokes cause stomach problems and then in coke zeroes i can drink all day long with out any problems. So yes the there a different chemical.

I can tell a big difference in the taste of Coke Zero and Diet Coke. Those two ingredients make a big difference.

Great info, it makes brilliant marketing sense. On a related note, in my opinion the Coke Zero can appears aesthetically more pleasing than Pepsi Max. Is that a majority I wonder
