American English vs. Australian English - 9 differences in common vocabulary!

Hi guys! Joining me today is Adriana, from the channel English with Adriana, and we are going to talk about differences in vocabulary between American English and Australian English. You will see that there were a few things that I didn't know at all! And, apparently, I think everything is "cute." Only by recording ourselves, do we notice these things, right?

Another difference that I know is about the Mc Donalds, here in Australia they call that "Makas".
And cheers is very common to use here. When you send an email, at the end instead of say Best Regards, you can say Cheers, but this is more informal.
Sometimes cheers means "thank you", and it's more informal as well.
My teacher said that in America they just use cheers when they are drinking, like saúde in brazilian portuguese.
Great video! The australian accent is very difficult to understand, that girl in the video speaks clearly, but most part of aussies that I know have a stronger accent.

Eu acho o sotaque australiano muito maneiro, mas ainda tenho que trabalhar meu ouvido para ele. 1:55 - I know what the confusion is. In British English, "pants" and "knickers" both mean "underwear".
