I think they should add the option to make the elusive echoes act like skins. Once you have them, they can be toggled on other echoes with better stats. That way, players won't be disappointed with getting a shiny echo just because its stats are garbage.

I thought this would be the case. They are more like collectables than for actual usage, unless you get godly amounts of luck

Always nice seeing people excited about something in a game thats not core to gameplay. So i take it with ghe current system shiny farming is really trying to figure out which spawn location will have a shiny for that echo

I haven’t played WW so I wouldn’t really know how it works.. But do you think since the tortoise is a 100% spawn chance that it’s green because it’s TECHNICALLY been there since the start of your game??? So it wouldn’t have been affected by any of your Pokédex upgrades because it was already scripted to spawn there without change to its internal Idk I might be reaching pretty hard, and unless other ppl have gotten high rarities, as I said I haven’t played or rlly watched gameplay like that so I wouldn’t know

I wonder if that shiny turtle is kinda scripted or a guaranteed encounter cus I see a lot of people finding that white turtle in the same exact location

I got a shiny turtle yesterday at the exact same spot but luckily it was a legendary ahaha! And my terminal level isn’t even 15 (currently 14)

Watching streamers play the game,
I noticed that whenever an enemy has that Smoke? effect coming out of their body (just like the ones on the shiny turtle) it will always drop an echo.

not sure if that's how it is though. (not playing beta btw)

there is also a turtle that is not an enemy. the bar of it is color green, not red
