Level Echoes Efficiently! Substat Odds Revealed in Wuthering Waves

For those wondering how much potential double CRIT pieces you are losing out on by only upgrading to +5, +10, etc, I simulated upgrading 1, 000, 000 echoes assuming there was equal chance of getting each TYPE of substat, and here's what I found:

- around 12.8% of the pieces had BOTH CR and CD
- if you trash echos after +5 that don't roll crit, you lose ~60% of potential double crit pieces (5.2% chance for double crit)
- if you trash echoes after +10 that don't roll crit, you lose ~30% of potential double crit pieces (9% chance for double crit)
- if you trash echoes after +15 that don't roll crit, you lose ~10% of potential double crit pieces (11.5% chance for double crit)
- if you always level to +20 you won't ever miss out on potential double crit pieces, but it requires a lot more resources

In general though, because there are other useful substats in this game besides crit, such as ER, ATK%, flat ATK, bonus dmg%, etc, as long as you don't roll HP or DEF on the first few rolls I think you can level up your echoes to +15 or +20.

one thing to consider for F2P is do not copy yet the CCs rerolling for substats,

Upgrade and use the echoes with right Mainstats even if bad substats. With the limited resources do no be picky YET, or you'll lose some percentage of your upgrade mats by rerolling substats at this point.

reroll if you already upgraded enough echoes.

Small information which can be really usefull if you're going step by step in the upgrade. You can not only recycle echos by feeding them but also from the inventory which gives the exp as capsule.

You made the prime point that I keep telling people; We're still early in the game, don't overly stress about finding the absolute perfect echoes or running out of exp for them. As World Level goes up, you'll get more exp and echoes can be farmed endlessly. Also content is pretty easy right now (gets harder later). Good video!
