Amy was told her symptoms were all in her head. As a mom of two, she began to feel "off" and tired and got some bloodwork to assess her health. After her bloodwork returned clean, her doctor attributed her symptoms to anxiety. After finding blood in her stool, she demanded a colonoscopy and was diagnosed with 3B colorectal cancer.

I had absolutely no symptoms what so ever until the tumor ripped through my colon and I woke up in the worst pain I’ve ever had in my life, immediately had life saving emergency surgery and now I’m on a two year immunotherapy Regimen just started I have one treatment I need 15 more every six weeks hopefully everything goes great 👍 and I beat this bs

My mom had stage 4 colon cancer and died within 8 months and she always got her colonoscopy and road her CARDIO FIT BIKE everyday. She did eat a lot of red meat and processed meat and foods. The situation was that her tumor was up under her rib cage and could not be seen on regular colonoscopy. She had no symptoms except when she was rushed to ER for bad bleeding and abdominal pain. They did a VIRTUAL COLONOSCOPY and a scope in her lower GI area and saw it was there under the rib but had so spread to her liver, lymph nodes and partially to the lungs. They said she must have had the growing tumor at least 10 yrs. This cancer then went very quickly to her brain. I think Doctors need to automatically do Virtual colonoscopy and upper and lower GI on patients. She was 71 when she died. I think people have to insist on testing and go to at least 2 Gastroenterologist.

I have a Lotta empathy for you. I’m still going through intense pain and bleeding and nobody is doing anything about it. I’ve been waiting for months to get an upper and lower G.I., just after I have had a colonoscopy two months ago, removing a pre-cancerous. I cannot eat, I am on four different medication’s to try to stop the diarrhea. Best of luck! You’re an inspiration.

For the last few months ive contemplated going to the ER bc its not an emergency yet i can barely function nowadays. I do have a dr app the 30th . Im so tired and miserable im over it.

I had a young relative die at age 20 from an aggressive form of colon cancer, unfortunately the doctors dismissed the possibility of colon cancer because of his age, and by the time they figured it out, it was too late. Horrible way to die, highly traumatic for our entire family. Advocate for yourself if you can people.

We are our own best advocates! If someone doesn’t seem to be listening to you go find another doctor. Keep going until you find someone that listens no matter the issue you have.Eventually you’ll find someone.

I told several doctors that I have something wrong. It felt like I had parasites and I was irritated in my colo-rectal region. None of them thought I had any such problem. Their tests came back negative for a wide range of parasites. One year later I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. Follow your intuition always. Trust yourself before the science or anyone else❤
