Mapei FA is one of my favorite grouts. Easy to use, a fine consistency, and doesn't need sealed 😊

🛑 FYI this is NOT beginner friendly grout in the sense it dries really fast and turns into concretes to keep it short…ONLY do a little bit at a time don’t get to far ahead where you can’t wipe it up after it dries

We just used it on our kitchen backsplash. We used the ratio of 1/3 cup of cold distilled water per 1 cup of grout and experimented with different size batches as we went. Best was 2 cups of grout to 2/3 cup of water. We only did sections at a time over multiple days. We taped off everything with painters tape and taped rosin paper on the counters. We had 2 buckets of rinse water to keep our sponges clean. There were 2 of us so we were able to work fast. Turned out great!

I just did our 300 sq ft master bedroom floor with this grout and didn't have any problem, I had my wife start wiping it off at 15 minutes until I ran out of grout and helped her finish cleaning. We wiped it off with a damp sponge two times then buffed it with microfiber towels, looks awesome and don't have to worry about sealing it

Best, and most stain resistant grout on the market aside from an epoxy

That stuff has a work time. It takes a few minutes to react to the water and then you have about 20 minutes to work it in. Better float / wipe as you go though. Once it starts to setup, you better wipe all that needs it and start a second batch. If this stuff sets up on textured tile, good luck getting it off.

This grout cures hard. And dries really fast when wet but after a while it does wear and does stain pretty easily, at least on the shower floor still need to bleach it every few mths to keep it white. On walls it's fine though

Best grout I have used. It sets fast. I have even been able to use it for gaps up to 3/4 inch.

Thanks for the vid! Just used this on a shower, first time. I used a scale and distilled water and had no problem. Hand mixed and did 3 small batches, 1 per wall.

Sanded grout is for larger spacing. Unsanded grout will crack when it cures off the gap it fills is to big.

For me you still have to seal it. It is still porous when magnified.

I have to grout a penny tile shower floor in a couple days and would love to hear a recommendation for which grout you would go with. THANKS ON ADVANCE!

Wish they made that grout in a slow-setting version. I want the no sealing feature but I’m a noob at grouting and too slow to use this stuff.

This is a great product for showers. I don't like using it on floors though because floor tile is typically built up with higher mud beds and this grout doesn't stand up well so it's hard to get the joints full.

What color was that grout? Is that good for white tiles?

It's unsanded better for the shower floor??
