A little trick is to use a double 5 gallon bucket and put ice water in the bottom bucket to keep the grout cold.
I did a room last night with it and it had a very good working time and cleaned up well and I didn't do it super fast.

Mix slow with cool water and don’t let the bag sit in the sun. You get 30 min work time

Where were you 5 years ago when I got caught by exactly this grout, this problem. A DIYer, I had last grouted in 1999 or 2000 in Chicago (more humid), with no problems. So in 2019, living in Boise (very dry) I grouted our kitchen backsplash with this grout. I don't remember how long it took, but when finished, I went back to clean it up...and it had almost completely set up and wouldn't come off. In a panic, I grabbed a stiff brush - no help. Went to the very LAST tile I had grouted and by that time THAT had set up. I wanted to throw up. Solution: sugar water mixture on paper towels (a tip I was given - maybe helped, maybe didn't, I don't know) for 5 or 10 minutes followed immediately by a very stiff cup brush attached to a hand drill and very slowly, a few short segments and tiles at a time, repeated the process and removed the grout. It was a nightmare.

I had to grout over 1000 square ft by myself. I used that. I continued with grouting all the way before clean up because I was afraid it would set in the bucket if I tried stopping to pre clean. So what I did was actually just squeeze a little water on top and it seemed to hold off the cure for me to wipe smooth. It wipe away with a little extra elbow grease.

Figured this out last week. Was a PAIN.

Don't mix it with a high speed mixer, supposedly too much oxygen gets into the mix and becomes almost unusable

This stuff should have a big red warning label on it, not 7 pt font thats readable only by magnifying glass.

Went off a little fast..or I’m too slow. Scrubbed for 1 hr with warm vinegar to save my project! Which works if you don’t wait too long!

I mixed by hand with cold water in a cool environment and had 50 minutes. It actually took too long

Don't use this product. It always dries patchy light/dark areas. No matter how you mix it, apply it, clean it off etc. I can even see the light and dark areas in this vid.

jgdgii hit it - slow mix, cool water. I did it fast the first time - hard and unusable in 10 minutes. Slow drill mix with cool water, 30-40 minutes working time.

I love Prism over this. Prism is probably the easiest most forgiving grout there is. When FA starts to kick it’s over! Prism you can tell as it starts to get stiff. FA kicks and you better be shaped and ready. Always just do small areas first until you learn each ones characteristics and as he said know your environment. Air conditioning running is a dehydrator. It will cause grout and mortar to set prematurely!

Would anyone reccomend using sealer with this?

Only trade professionals who are fast should use this, not for DIY otherwise you might run into problems once it is set?

DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK PRODUCT in my opinion. Worst grout ever. Hand mixed to pancake batter consistency. Didn't have a drill at 350 rpms that they don't mention because they want you to mess up to buy more in my opinion. The grout rubs sandy on finger next day which is 14 hours later. Went on site and it said too watery!! BS, all thier lists were a junk including package listing.

Temp 70 degrees, cold water, out of pan it will begin to set in minutes so of that's too wet then you'd need a hand tamp to set and grinder to smooth. I have mortar grout in kitchen that needs repairs buy it's been over a decade.

Anyways, I could provide a video and I taped my tile not to deal with haze and clean up. I was and still am proud of my work, however OCD I know it's done right. Is it not cured, why do they talk about certain things when this is to have sealant polymers?

I have another bathroom and a foyer to grout though returning this grout L0w3's is going to be my highlight. If what I installed doesn't set harder I will lose it. We've dealt with every crook and joker for 9 months now and to have a toilet back I did my homework. Too much water being an excuse, when using their ratios is is horsesh1t as my grandfather would've said. If this doesn't set properly I will lose it. I have sealer, I'm going to give it 72 hours but I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy. All my opinion.
