How to Grout | Prism Grout | High Performance

Grouting is the last big step to finishing your beautiful new bathroom 😃 Don't screw it up 👊 😆 That's why I created this video! Do you grout between tub and tile or leave that for caulk?

Use cold water and don't drill it! It sets up super fast if a drills used...lol that's why they give a guy two bags. One to screw up and the other to actually get grouting done! Nice job bro that bathroom looks minty!

Don't know if is like epoxy grout in terms of what will slow down it's setting time, but when I use epoxy grout I set the grout bucket in a larger bucket of ice, makes the pot life longer.

Mixing with the drill works very well.... key to getting best consistency & pot life is mixing to lump-free, let it sit for 5 minutes and then re-mix for 30-60 seconds- do not add any more water once that "slake" time (waiting time) is done- usually get 45-60 minute bucket life- temperature dependent- and product spreads very nicely. Nothing wrong mixing with the margin trowel but must give that slake time to allow for all the ingredients in the product to come back to life, so to speak

Is this good for shower floor Pans also if not what would you recommend using for pebble floor pan

Using males sanded grout on shower floor over flat mosaic pebbles….came out good but a few low spots between pebbles not sealed yet…can I add grout on top to bring it more even or will it not stick to the grout I just installed?

I just had my entire bathroom re-tiled for a remodel. Removing old tile is such a dust mess. My tile men created plastic hallways to protect my master bedroom furniture but dust still gets everywhere just not as bad. I had my guys use Arctic White on my walls because I wanted the brightest white I could get and this stuff was perfect. My tile men did use the PRISM product. They never complained so I’m assuming they had no problems with it. My bathroom has been under construction for 1 1/2 months. I can actually finally see my remodel master bathroom is almost complete. I never wanted to do a remodel again, lol.

I highly recommend removing your toilet before laying your tiles. It gives the bathroom a more seem less look.

Do you recommend using a sealer like Miracle 511? I know that the grout’s supposed to be stain resistant, but wondering if sealer would be worth the extra effort or just a waste of time.

My contractor used Prism last Friday on 1x1 hex mosaic. He made a wetroom /curbless shower and believes he is just about finished. The bathtub area grout looks good but the shower is very uneven, not flat. I thought his cleanup would even everything. Now it's 7 days later. Can it be sanded or evened out or repaired? Or should I have him pull up all mosaic, order new mosaic, pullout tub, and start over?

Is it the air introduced, or is it the fact that mixing it is one of the three catalysts to speeding up a chemical reaction? Crush, Heat, Agitate...the drill would qualify as agitation. What do you think?

how can a seasoned pro grout with something like that first mix? you can clearly see it was too thick and dry but he still used it instead of mixing it right. yes a pro can possibly do all 3 walls in one shot before washing, but do not attempt this please. if that grout kicks and you cannot get it off, you basically just ruined your job. no reason to do all that grouting in one shot except if your showing off. definitely recommend hand mixing for hi performance grout because a drill does add friction and more heat and like he said, more air. best to do one wall at a time and wait till its ready to wash instead of grouting to much and having it dry up on you

Yea ill take polyblend every time. If i wanted to burn up my rotator cuff pushing cement grout on a wall sure.... plus he dropped half the grout on the tub = scratches galore.
