Dipper and Mabel are such good friends to Soos.
They have selflessly risked their lives just to have a birthday.
Which means Mabel is not ALWAYS selfish like Dipper, she has selfless moments too.
And learns from her mistakes and faces the consequences.

I really felt sorry for soos in this episode. I can kinda relate to soos on his dad, my parents are divorced and I don't get to see my dad a lot, it's not his fault, my mom hates him, he's away a lot as well so he never really gets to see me on my birthday, but that doesn't mean he doesn't like me.

Stan not allowed on airplanes for caring about Soos and trying to have the government remove July 13 from calenders? Talk about Disproportionate Retribution! I think that only murderers and terrorists should be banned from airplane travel. Stan is neither a murderer nor a terrorist.
