Optimization Minimize Cost (Example 1)

This Calculus 1 video explains using optimization to minimize the cost of a box with a square base. We find a cost function for a rectangular box and use differentiation to the minimize the cost, by finding the minimum amount of surface area required for the box to have a particular volume. We also find a reasonable interval for a solution, using the second derivative test, and draw conclusions about the optimal solution.
