I've had the 4wd diesel duster now for 6 years and honestly once you look past the badge it's a great car. I work in forestry and this car has gone everywhere the land cruisers and defenders have gone without a single issue. Great review!

This man is dropping wisdom while reviewing a used car for us... that deserves a sub and a like.

All proven last gen tech that's been thoroughly shaken down and that added to simplicity is how you achieve reliability.
Wonderfully honest review.

Eastern Europeans love them, perfect utilitarian workhorse... particularly in rural areas and on farms. Seen loads of them in rural Hungary, Poland etc.

I love how Renault is managing Dacia; unlike VW totally shooting their feet with Skoda, theyre keeping the brand really basic and out of the way of renault itself.

It's refreshing to see someone extolling the virtues of the basic car. The more complex a car, the more you'll spend fixing it. It WILL go wrong. The most reliable cars I've owned were a Lada Niva and Land Rover Series 3.

I bought one new in 2013, 1.5 diesel does 60 mpg (if driven tidy) 35, 000 miles on the clock, has 6 gears + reverse and it's the only car I've had in 50 years of driving that I got booked for speeding! Same tyres all round, flies through the MOT and is as comfy to drive as the Land Rover Freelander I kept for just 3 years. It's a BRILLIANT CAR!

Well I've had mine fir over 4 years and it's never missed a beat and had been 100% reliable. I needed a car urgently and the dealer did me an excellent deal with no deposit. 2 days later I was driving it.
No badge snob value just a roomy easy to drive car.

I just like how simple it is, it’s a CAR nothing more nothing less

Isnt this what a Land Rover used to be: a no BS “tool car”? Im not to keen on the (lack of) safety, but the car is so honest - and thats an unusual feature these days...

I bought a 4x4 version 4 years ago as I sometimes have to go over rough tracks. Its awesome. Tough, comfortable, reliable, spacious and great fun to drive. As the owner of three Discovery's in the past, give me the Duster any day - especially when I visit the pumps!

I know a family who are multi millionaires and yet they drive a 7 year old poverty spec Logan and I respect them massively for that
