In this video, you will learn 14 signs, confirmed by science, that show your dog really loves you.

They lean against you
If your dog comes up to you and lean their body weight against you, or perhaps cuddle against your side, they are showing affection. For many dogs, the lean is like a full-body hug. In some cases, dogs lean against you when they are in an unfamiliar environment.
Your dog steals your cloths
You have probably noticed that your dog carries your laundry or shoes around the house. Before getting upset, take a step back and understand why they do this. Dogs see the world mainly through scent. So when they love you, they may steal your clothes to hand on to your smell.
Your dog cuddles up with you after you feed them
A dog who comes to cuddle with you after they have eaten genuinely loves you. They are not looking for treats; they just want to be close to you. Even though you feed them every day, your dog doesn’t just see you as a feeding machine. They love you for more than just their daily meal.
Yawning when you yawn
Dogs yawn for a lot of reasons. They usually do it to relieve stress. Like when you take them to the vet. Or they yawn to curb their enthusiasm when you get out the leash to take them for a walk. But if a dog yawns when you do - it’s actually a form of social bonding. Researchers at the University of Tokyo have shown that dogs yawn contagiously, and dogs who are bonded with their owners are more likely to yawn when their especial humans do. The same study suggests that yawning can be a sign of empathy.
Holding Eye Contact
One of the ways in which dogs show their love is gazing directly into your eyes. According to a research published in the journal of Science, dogs develop strong emotional bonds with humans by staring into our eyes. This non-verbal way of communication increases level of social hormone called oxytocin in both dogs and their owners. Dogs also gaze into your eyes to show their devotion and anticipate your next move. In order to be by your side when you make it.
Freaking out when you return
If your pup’s excitement is uncontainable when you come home, it is a clear sign that they love you. Studies have shown that dogs’ reunion with their beloved owner has a significantly positive effect on them, increasing the level of social hormone oxytocin, and lowering the level of stress hormone cortisol. So if your dog runs around you in the house, jumps from one place to the other, and wags their tail controllably when you get home, it means they are crazy about you.
Your dog raises their eyebrows when they see you
A dog’s love isn’t all about tail wagging, it’s also about facial expressions. Scientists from Japan found that dogs move and wiggle their eyebrows (especially the left brow) when they see someone they love. However, they produce significantly less facial expressions when they are engaging with someone they don’t know.
They wag their tail to the right when you are around
If your dog sees you and starts wagging their tail uncontrollably, it means that your pet is happy. On that note, research has shown tail wagging to the right indicates positive feelings, or that your dog is relaxed.
They give you presents
Unfortunately, your dog can’t get your flowers from a store, instead, they make do with what they have. if your dog really loves you, they will bring you their favorite toy. This is their way of sharing their stuff with you and showing they care. This is because most dogs are possessive of their belongings.
They lick you
More often than not, dogs lick you to show you affection and love. Licking is also a way for canines to bond with family members. For example, mother dogs often lick their puppies to groom them and offer comfort. When your dog licks you, it’s their way of grooming you and showing they care about your wellbeing. And if you have the taste of some yummy treats on your skin, then your pet might have another motive for their licking behavior.
Some dogs show love by herding their owners
If your pooch tries to keep family members from wandering off on their own, they could be displaying herding behavior. Herding is a way of showing affection for the pack.
They want to sleep with you
If you don't allow your canine to sleep in your bed, but they still like to sleep in your bedroom, it is a sign that they love you. In the wild, wolves and dogs naturally sleep huddled with the pack members they trust to protect against predators. So, if your dogs want to sleep with you, it means they see you as a trusted fellow pack member.
They check up on you
If your dog "checks in" on you during a walk, or in a new environment, it's a sign they love you and that they are making sure you're nearby.
Your dog lets you touch their head
Many dogs don’t like being petted on the top of their head because they perceive it as a threat. So if your dog lets you touch the top of their head, enjoys the process and closes its eyes, you are their special one.

I’ve always held that, if possible, everyone should own at least one dog in their lifetime. It is an incredibly beautiful, and life changing experience. They are such amazing, sensitive, caring, and loving animals.

I feel sorry for anyone who has never loved a dog, or any animal. There is nothing like it in human experience. I absolutely adore my dogs.

Ive had my boi his whole life pretty much. He’s 11 years old now and is in such good health, has lots of energy, and doesn’t look 11. Can’t believe I’ve had him since high school. I love that boi and cannot imagine life without him. I hope we have many years to come.

Even without this knowledge and the breakdown of all the individual signs that a dog gives, I've always been able to feel a dog's love by the look in their eye and the touch of their paw.

I got an Old English Sheepdog from a rescue and she was an amazing dog. She especially did the “herding” thing. There were 3 of us in the household and lots of times one of us would be in the basement tv room, one would be in the living room, and one would be in the kitchen. She would prance back and forth and up and down until she got us all in the tv room. Then she could lay down and rest, watching us all the time.

I was born into a family with a boarder collie cross, less than a year later my brother came along, she would patrol the garden if we were playing, herd us up if we were running off even used to pull us back by our nappies, she was the best guard dog would not let strangers anywhere near us. My mum said suzie had the patience of a Saint, we could do anything with her, when we got older we would dress her up and push her round in the pram, I still miss her and I am in my 40's x
