Best played LOUD.

Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, Op. 125 - IV - Allegro assai

Choral with English subtitles translating Schiller's "Ode to Joy" used by Beethoven. Schiller considered the poem a failure.

Solti. HD sound. Listen for the "Ja!" at 2:19 ;)

No matter how many times I listen to this it never gets old.

So Beethoven composed this while being stone deaf. Respect does not even come close to how I feel towards the Man.

3 things must happen to this song to be trigger:

1- someone is happy
2- something amazing happen

3- A single mech is about to trigger the apocalisis for the 4th time again

We had a life skills group come in where I work and there was this little autistic boy who was stimming a lot. And what he really liked was vibrations, and so they gave him a little toy piano and he would hold it next to him and ode to joy would play

Because I know why this song was written and I know where it's behind it that possibly was one of the most poetic things i've ever seen

That made me smile

So this is the "anthem" for the European Union.
But the Wolfe Tones' 1972 rendition of "A Nation Once Again" was voted the world's most popular song.

One of these things ain't like the other
One of these things is doing its own thing

How could a country that created such beautiful music and words commit such horrid crimes against humanity before and during WW2?
