Getting presented with a question you never knew or cared about only to get fully invested in that question and then given the answer is such a wild yet short experience

A perfect example of why we NEED science. Human observation came to a reasonable but wrong conclusion based on our senses and limited experience. But give science a little time and it comes up with the correct answer.

I adore his precise, lucid explanations that make complex scientific details comprehendable to the layman.

"70's" and "high speed computers" broke my brain.

I love legacy tech. It would be so cool to see and use those machines.

I love how the logic before also made sense, but simply through added knowledge the narrative changes to a different logical conclusion. Idk why but i deeply appreciate how it illustrates the shift of our understanding of a phenomenon, while also highlighting that the logic from before was also logical and made sense at the time.

It’s kinda like how a splash into water is always vertical and the ensuing wave is a perfect circle; regardless of the angle of the impact

Perfect example of human intuition being wrong but our ingenuity helping us find the right answer.

And you can test this by throwing a snowball hard at a wall. The snowball leaves a print on the wall that is a circle no matter the angle you throw it. The snowball explodes in every direction, not just the direction it is thrown.

This man is such an amazing teacher. I’m always amazed at how he explains complex topics in such a way that the average thinker can follow and understand easily. That’s a gift and a great skill!

Whatever you say about NDT being “that guy” He genuinely was one of the prime reasons for my intrigue towards science and space.

I just like how professional he explains every point he makes by explaining the opposition so you can understand how other people have come to that conclusion and then proceeds to explain why they are wrong

the perfect example of why observations should lead to research instead of conclusions. this is why we can never let ourselves think we know something just because we think it makes sense
