I am 75. I was scammed out of $4, 000. I cried and had a panic attack. It was PayPal that he said he was working with. I am so thankful that you are catching these bad folks. God bless you.

I met a disabled, widowed, and elderly woman yesterday. While talking to her she revealed last week she was scammed for all the money she had, $300k. She has been working with the local police, but she doesn't believe they will be able to help her. I didn't even know this woman, and she was so broken, she just needed someone to talk to. I felt terrible for her. She mentioned her husband had recently passed, and it was their life savings. Just disgusting

I work in IT technical support and occasionally get someone on the phone like this, who wants to read everything they see on their screen, click on things they weren't asked to click on, try to "figure things out" when I already know what it is they need to do, etc. Can confirm it is extremely irritating lol

A few years ago I got a call by a scammer pretending to be a police officer. He claimed a witness saw me being involved in a drug deal in a park. They obviously used info they gathered online, because that park was pretty close to the university I went to. But I moved from place many years ago and I just laughed at them and wished them a good luck for their ~500km journey to arrest me.

Kit gave me so many crazy ideas. I've no idea if I could bait them, but I sure would try to waste their time. 😂

I couldn't stop laughing, thank you. My sister was scammed out of $4, 000, they told her she had to transfer all her money into bitcoin to protect her money, that
they claimed her "husband was downloading a lot of child porn and the FBI will arrest him" if she didn't send everything she had, so she did. She was 65 but a
very, very, very heavy drinker, so she was also paranoid. I'm 71 and I got a call like that and I told them to go fu*k themselves and hung up.
