This is frankly not fun. I wasn’t able to get an order through because the site wouldn’t let me. Couldn’t get past having items in my cart to go checkout. Pokemon center even blocked me saying I was a bot. Make it make sense

With Surging Sparks, Prismatic, and now this, it will be three sets in a row where I won't be able to buy my son packs in the store. Surely after 4 sets of not being able to buy packs my kid will keep retaining interest in the hobby and not move on. Surely TPCI won't have their actual core base (kids and preteens) unable to buy product and quit the hobby.

Today was a huge realization for me. You always hear about “scalpers” but today sitting on that website as soon as it dropped and watching the website crash over and over again, just for me to be blocked, really set it in how big of a problem this is. Pokemon and other big box stores HAVE to come up with a solution. The new ETB released today is being listed on eBay for $450, mere hours after the release happened. That’s a 1000% markup…. Which is fucking cruel. There has to be a solution. This will either be fixed or the hobby will die.

Feel sorry for the kids nowadays. Pokemon used to be a carefree, enjoyable hobby. Now it's all about youtubers, keeping product sealed, rip and ships, bots, scalping, wheeling and dealing. I remember being able to just open packs and trade with people. What a pathetic state it is in now.

I've been a collector (i love the artwork) for 25 years, and I also hold a few sealed products here and there. this honestly might kill it for me. i like collecting and investing, but now it feels like i can't do either one.

Website was horrible I had a order placed at 8:50 and then confirmation didnt come through until around 9:40 so I didn't know if my order got placed
